Five travel Instagram accounts to follow this year
The world’s current obsession with wanderlust has been feeding the trend in Instagram accounts devoted to the art of travel, not to mention a hashtag with over three million posts and counting. Although there are thousands of accounts that post travel photos, only a few have truly inspired us to dream up our next holiday.
@Ioegreer
Based in Colorado, photographer John Greer’s feed is peppered with posts of rolling hills and mountains, sunflower fields and mystical forests of America. Every single one of them is beautiful enough to make you lust for your very own adventure into the wild.
@Parisinfourmonths
Swedish photographer Carin Olsson moved to Paris to live her dreams and she documents them all in her blog, as well as her beautifully-curated Instagram account. What we love about her account is that she lets you in on secret places in Paris you would never have discovered on your own. Olsson has also been doing a bit of travelling of late and we’ve seen posts on Italy, Indonesia and Australia, as well.
@PetitePassport
32-year old writer Pauline Egge is the founder of the 'Petite Passport' blog, which is also the name of her Instagram account. Egge’s account is perfect for modern travellers, who want to experience destinations of contemporary local culture. Follow her if you want to be updated on the hippest restaurants, cutest cafes and the coolest hotels.
@ZachsPassport
Created by travel photographer Zach Glassman, this account has the perfect ingredients to make you book that next vacation – artistic shots of sunsets, architectures, rivers, mountains and local food from the world’s most beloved destinations.
@Hirozzzz
Hiroaki Fukuda is a talented Tokyo-born photographer who features an amazing balance of the old and the new in his Instagram account – from Shanghai’s skyscrapers to Spain’s centuries-old cathedrals. What’s amazing about Fukuda is that he used only his mobile phone to capture his images, and they were so good, he landed himself gigs from Dior, Nike and several tourism departments.
