The refreshed 4.5-star Hotel reopens after a RM125 million renovation
After having closed since 1st April 2016, the Sunway Pyramid Hotel has finally reopened for business. Sunway Hotels & Resorts, the hospitality division of property-construction conglomerate Sunway Group, unveiled the recently renovated property to invited guests and members of the media.
The Hotel will progressively open its guestrooms and suites after having undergone a RM125 million renovation exercise with a target to operate on its full inventory of 564 rooms and suites by end January 2017.
Located in Sunway City Kuala Lumpur, adjacent to the 5-star flagship Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa, the newly renovated Sunway Pyramid Hotel integrates the brand’s latest design elements, reflecting the richness of refreshing colours with contemporary interiors and stylish ergonomic furnishings catering to the needs of a new generation of travellers. Guests will experience an upgraded stay in the hotel’s latest deluxe rooms, which include the new purpose-built family rooms and suites.
Designed by Sunway Design Sdn. Bhd, each guestroom and suite in Sunway Pyramid Hotel focused on technology improvements with complimentary Wi-Fi and wired broadband internet access, smart lighting, bedside USB charger outlets, 42” LED Smart TV with satellite news, sports and movie channels, flexible workspaces, high pressure walk-in shower, ample closet space and numerous other enhanced facilities and upgrades.
The hotel transformation also included a complete make-over on the hotel’s main lobby, a new coffee lounge, lift landings, guest floor corridors, guestrooms and the back of house spaces. The renovation increased the Sunway Pyramid Hotel’s room inventory to 564 deluxe rooms and suites from the previous 549, featuring five (5) categories of guestrooms and suites.
