Going Places isn’t just for travellers in the air – sit back, relax and flip through our e-magazine for travel inspiration

These days, travel feels a little different. It’s no longer just about ticking off landmarks or escaping the daily grind – it’s about why we go. More of us are looking for trips that offer purpose, whether it’s taking part in one of the big seven marathons or setting off on a journey towards healing.
That’s why wellness travel is having a real moment. According to the Global Wellness Institute, the sector is on track to hit over US$8.5 trillion by 2027 – and it makes sense. After everything we’ve all been through, who doesn’t want to come back from a trip feeling better than when they left?
Which brings us to India, for a tale of two cities in the state of Kerala: the capital city of Trivandrum, where ancient Ayurvedic wellness retreats have been practising ancient healing long before it was trendy, and Kochi, with its fascinating blend of colonial-era architecture, delicious food and backwater experience. It’s the kind of trip that fills your cup, in every sense.
From there, it’s off to Henley-on-Thames, a charming riverside town outside London that comes alive this month with the Royal Regatta. Think rowing rivalries, champagne by the water and the occasional royal-spotting. If you’re in the area, it’s well worth a visit.
Then there’s Jakarta, where we meet some of the city’s most inspiring voices in hospitality – a world barista champ, a passionate walking tour guide and a next-gen hotelier, each showing us how travel is evolving into something far more personal.
Wherever you go next, I hope you find something that stays with you. That means something. That leaves you better, calmer, more curious. That’s the kind of journey worth taking.
Go forth and wander!
