Experience Indoor Skydiving

Always wanted to go skydiving but can’t work up the courage to jump off a plane? Enter AirRider: an indoor skydiving simulator located within 1Utama Shopping Center’s brand new extension, 1Utama E. Boasting a purpose-built vertical wind tunnel, the facility is the only one of its kind in Malaysia. Experience the adrenaline rush that comes with free falling, as each flight, which lasts 50 seconds, is equivalent to an outdoor skydive from 14,000 feet! If you’re a complete beginner, don’t fret, as professional instructors are on hand to assist you on your flight. It doesn’t matter if you’re three or 93 – all you need is an adventurous spirit.
Surf Like A Pro
Also located within 1Utama E is FlowRider®, the first stand-alone flowriding venue located in a shopping centre, where both pros and rookies alike can show off their skills and tricks on artificial waves flowing at 20 to 30 miles per hour. Unlike conventional surfing, ‘flowriding’ combines elements of surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding and wakeboarding, so riders can get the ultimate watersport experience. It is ideal for all ages with various skill levels. While there are experienced instructors on hand to keep you safe, do expect a few wipeouts nonetheless.
Strike Three, You’re Out!
Baseball might not be as big here as it is in the United States, but the sport is gaining popularity among Malaysians – as evidenced by It’s A Hit!, located on the rooftop of 1Utama Shopping Center. Established in 2006, the place started off as a batting cage before it expanded into a full-fledged baseball fun park, complete with a snack bar selling hot dogs, a refurbished retail shop with baseball and softball goodies, as well as a variety of carnival games and activities.
Try Indoor Rock Climbing
Unleash your inner ‘Spidey’ at Camp 5, Asia’s largest indoor rock climbing gym. Housed in an impressive steel and glass tower on the 5th floor of 1 Utama Shopping Centre, there are over 400 – 600 boulder, top rope and lead routes catering to every level, including beginners and children. There’s even a Trad Wall where you can simulate the experience of climbing a real rock wall. Routes are changed every few months so there’s always something new to challenge climbers.
Shoot Em’ Up
There’s nothing like a good old fashioned paintball shootout – and at Canyon Paintball at Changkat Bukit Utama, participants are in for an adrenaline-pumping good time. Specialising in paintball activities, the ‘battlefield’ consists of over 20 acres of paintball terrain, with two fields dedicated to competitive paintball. Aside from private and group games, they also do corporate team building, tournaments, parties, birthdays and more.
