This Aidilfitri, celebrate the miracle of life and the moments shared with loved ones
In the latest digital short film by Malaysia Airlines entitled 'Fitrah', the themes of family bonds, racial diversity and unconditional love are weaved into a touching tale dedicated especially to the important religious festival of Hari Raya celebrated by Muslims all over the world. The story opens with reflections by Yassin, a Malay man who, under difficult circumstances, became father to an orphaned Chinese boy, followed by reflections of the boy as an adult, on his unique life journey, trials and the bonds fostered from it.
'Fitrah' is a reminder of how fleeting life can be; to serve as a wake up call to appreciate the beauty of every moment, good or bad, happy or sad, as well as the moments we have with each other. Our lives is similar to that of being in a waiting lounge from the time of birth – we are living in transit – one day we will 'depart' from this existence. In a nutshell, we should be thankful for the miracle of each waking moment, and there's no better time than this Aidilfitri.
Just like the circle of life, Malaysia Airlines too is undergoing changes. We can only be confident in the renewal and a brighter tomorrow for Malaysia Airlines.
'Fitrah' is the third installment under a series of short films entitled 'A Malaysian Story', and is the follow-up to 'Terbang' and 'Blessing'.
