Students design and assemble colourful floor art
Visitors to Pavilion Kuala Lumpur will be able to experience the majesty of Indian culture in conjunction with Deepavali this year with the creation of the ‘Walk of Splendour’, an installation of 14 vibrant ‘kolams’ or floor art, beautifully created using coloured rice. Designed and assembled by students of Raffles College of Higher Education, 500 kilogrammes of rice in 25 colours were used in the creation of the artwork that culminates in a masterpiece ‘kolam’ of a majestic elephant. Additionally, catch exciting Indian dance performances such as The Bengal Breeze Dance and The Swans of Nala Dance from 18 October to 26 October. For more information, visit www.pavilion-kl.com/
