Exciting things are happening at the renowned Malaysian resort
Exciting new developments have redefined Resorts World Genting, one of the world's leading resort operators. It is now even more vibrant and multifaceted than ever, adding a new dimension to one's holiday experience.
Resorts World Genting is an integrated resort in Malaysia that offers visitors enjoyment at 6,000 feet above sea level with cool weather ranging from 14 to 22 degrees. The resort has annually been welcoming over 20 million visitors from Malaysia and neighboring countries.
A new gateway, the Awana Transportation Hub houses the new Awana Bus Terminal, helipad and some 4,500 public parking bays. At the Awana Transportation Hub is also where the new cable car system Awana Skyway is located. The new Awana Skyway is just 2.8km or 10 minutes away from Resorts World Genting.
It boasts a top speed of six metres per second with a capacity to transport 3,600 passengers one way every hour. It brings visitors from Awana Station to Chin Swee Temple Station and SkyAvenue station at the peak of the resort. There are a total of 99 gondolas, of which 10 are installed with glass floors that allow visitors a bird's eye view of the rainforest below and soon the Twentieth Century Fox World Theme Park.
For accommodation, there are choices of six hotels where visitors can enjoy crisp mountain air and the splendor of 130 million years old tropical forest. In total, the resort has 10,000 rooms with the 3-star 7351 rooms First World Hotel, holding the Guinness World Record as world's largest hotel. Other hotels include luxurious 5-star accommodation at Maxims, Crockfords or the iconic Genting Grand and 4-star accommodation includes Resort Hotel and Awana.
Recently opened is the brand new SkyAvenue with five-storey of great shopping and dining facilities that is 1.4 million sq ft in size. The mall consists of 168 retail outlets and 160 brands of which 70 are food and beverage and 98 retail plus six cinemas and a large concourse that is surrounded by three-storey high large LED screens showcasing spectacular multimedia shows.
A foodie floor is located at level one of SkyAvenue where shoppers can enjoy a paradise of food. F&B outlets include first in the world Cafes Richard from Paris, the first in Asia London-based Burger & Lobster for live lobsters air-flown from Canada, and Malaysia's first Motorino, a Brooklyn-based brand offering authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas. Then there's the Malaysian Food Street featuring the best Malaysian non-halal hawker dishes. It is the highest food court in Malaysia and one of the biggest with a seating capacity of 1000 people.
High street fashion with top brands such as Thomas Sabo, Pandora, Body & Works, Adidas, Calvin Klein and many more is congregated on the third floor. Opening soon is the luxury floor on level 2 and more al fresco dining on the top floor.
Lastly, the most anticipated Twentieth Century Fox World theme park, the first of its kind in the world is set to open soon with attractions based on Fox films such as Alien vs Predator, Night at the Museum, Epic, Ice Age and many more.
