Oppo’s new 16 MP F1s smartphone raises the bar for selfie photography
The new Oppo F1s is a boon for shutterbugs and selfie lovers. The new smartphone enters the market as a ‘Selfie Expert’ owing to its 16MP front camera and next-level photography technology.
But capturing selfies isn’t the only thing this formidable smartphone is capable off as it also features a 13MP rear camera, a large 3075mAh battery, 32GB ROM, and a triple-slot card tray that offers dual-SIM capability and expandable memory.
However, perfecting the art of the selfie remains this phone’s best attribute and Oppo has certainly done a grand job in ensuring it is worthy of its title. The F1s is purpose-built to capture beautiful, natural-looking selfies, and it’s the first phone to bring a 16MP front camera to the price segment.
The device’s camera comes equipped with a 1/3.1-inch sensor and large f/2.0 aperture, providing high dynamic range and minimising noise. Adding to that is the F1s’ upgraded Screen Flash function, which dynamically adjusts to compensate for current light conditions.
The 13MP rear camera on the other hand features a 1/3-inch back-illuminated sensor and f/2.2 aperture, for high light sensitivity and dynamic range. Both cameras also offer Beautify 4.0, providing seven levels of beautification and two skin tone modes, so that users can find the perfect settings for their look.

To maximize the photo taking experience, Oppo has invested heavily in the F1s' photography platform with a wide range of features. The smartphone features a Selfie Panorama function along with gesture and voice activated selfie taking.
Users also have endless possibilities for creativity and fun with nine built-in filters and watermarks, along with a host of plug-ins, including an upgraded Expert Mode, Double Exposure, Time Lapse and GIF mode as well.
