Located just 10 kilometres away from the Kuala Lumpur city centre, Sheraton Petaling Jaya makes the perfect base for both business and leisure travelers.
Having just celebrated its 1st anniversary, the hotel is one of the newer kids on the block, offering 253 luxurious rooms and suites in various categories, as well as top notch facilities that include six dining venues, a rooftop pool and a fitness center.
Our room, a deluxe king, was spacious and cosy, with a warm and welcoming ambience. There was a complete suite of amenities to enjoy, from a marble bathroom with a separate bathtub and shower, to a lighted makeup mirror and fluffy bathrobes and slippers. Meanwhile, the high speed Wifi and work desk near the window was perfect for working on the laptop, with convenient ports for charging.
When in need of a break, we sank back onto the feather-soft, king-sized bed, complemented by 300-thread count linen for the ultimate comfort.
One is spoilt for choice when it comes to dining at Sheraton PJ. Craving authentic Japanese? Head on down to Miyabi, where chefs take guests on culinary journeys beyond just tasting. It’s a feast for the senses at the live cooking stations, with various options such as teppanyaki, sushi and sashimi prepared fresh to order and right in front of your eyes.
With beautiful city views and a rich decor, Yue specialises in classic Chinese dishes presented with intuitive service. Not to be missed is the nutritious, double-boiled herbal soup, a lip-smacking concoction that has been simmered for hours and is guaranteed to warm you up from the inside.
Guests will want for nothing at Feast, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant offering a scrumptious spread of international delights, while Link@Sheraton Cafe has coffees and pastries for a quick pick-me-up.
Come night, chill at Sala, the hotel’s rooftop bar, whilst enjoying expansive views of the twinkling suburbs and sipping on a cocktail (or two). The Chime cigar lounge is classy and elegant – the perfect setting for intimate gatherings.
Burn off the calories at their 24-hour fitness center, or swim a couple of laps at the rooftop pool, with panoramic views of the urban skyline.
